F.A.T. Thinking: Introducing...

Hallo ihr Lieben,
Ich hoffe es geht euch gut und die Woche hat schön angefangen :) Zum Glück habe ich jeden Montag und Freitag frei - und kann ein langes Wochenende genießen!
Über den ersten Post für "FAT Thinking" habe ich echt lange nachgedacht und erst einen anderen Post angefangen, aber das Thema nimmt mich etwas mit, deswegen müsst ihr auf diesen leider noch etwas warten...

In der Zwischenzeit wollte ich euch aber mal eine kleine Auflistung von Blogs / Literatur etc. machen, die meiner Meinung nach wichtig sind um ein positiveres Bild von Fett und Körpern in unserer Gesellschaft zu bekommen. Natürlich will ich (wie immer, hehe) niemandem meine Meinung aufzwängen, es ist eben eine persönliche Liste die meine Sicht auf viele Dinge verändert hat :) Vor allem weil viele kommende Posts aus "FAT Thinking" auf vielen dieser Quellen basieren und ich euch natürlich auch zeigen möchte, wie ich zu meiner Ansicht gelangt bin!

Unten kommt eine (fast) vollständige Liste von Blogs, Büchern und sonstigen Material, viel Spaß dabei! :)

Well, last weekend I was thinking about this first post on "FAT Thinking" and actually started with another topic but it's taking up a lot of thinking about it and negotiating my own opinions about it...


In the meantime I'd like to introduce you to a list of blogs, books and other material out there which inspired me and built me up when I was still believing something must be worng with me/my body etc. Especially as I plan to do more posts about being body positive, I'd like to invite you to read the literature/blogs which boost my confidence first, so that you can understand where I'm coming from :)

OOTD: Dancing With Myself

Dieses OOTD ist schon kurz vor Weihnachten entstanden, aber ich hatte bis heute leider keine Zeit die Fotos zu bearbeiten...
Also ich liebe dieses Kleid und trage es ganz schön oft! Ihr könnt es momentan noch im Sale für 34,24€ ergattern - ich kann es euch nur wärmstens empfehlen, auch wenn es nur noch in blau erhältlich ist! Der Stoff ist echt schön angenehm auf der Haut, nur etwas durchsichtig und ich trage auch immer noch ein Tanktop o.ä drunter. Leider ist es auch vieeeel länger als auf dem Foto bei Asos, auch mit meinen 1,77m. Aber da ich diese Midi-Länge ganz gerne mag, habe ich es trotzdem behalten.
A propos Asos, ich hatte in letzter Zeit nur Pech. Von den gefühl 30.000 bestellten Sachen habe ich im Endeffekt drei behalten: dieses und ein anderes Kleid und einen goldenen Gürtel.Irgendwie passen die Sachen nie wie sie sollen - entweder viel zu klein oder viel zu groß. Auch wenn ich im Moment zwischen zwei Größen (52/54) bin, und immer eine 54 bestelle passen die Sachen einfach nicht.

This OOTD was shot before Christmas already, but I unfortunately didn't have the time to edit the pictures up to today...
Anyway I LOVE this dress and wear it quite a lot as it's keeping me warm and chic at the same time. You can still by it at Asos' Sale for 34,24€, unfortunately it's only left in blue but if you like this colour you definately should get it! The farbric is very soft and it feels nice on, although it's a bit see-through which means wearing a tank top underneath (well, at least for me, haha).
Also on the negative side is the lenght of this dress -  it's a looooot longer than on the Asos page, even with my height at 1,77m. But as I love this Midi trend, I kept it anyways.
Speaking of Asos - I was very unlucky with most of the items I ordered recently. Most of them have a very poor fit and although I'm between a size 24/26 at the moment, some of the 26 items are far to big whereas others I can't even get on. I wish for more consistent sizing please!

Hier mal ein paar spaßige Bilder mit einer Bird's Eye Lense... Hach, ich bin immer so neidisch auf meine Freundin (unten). Sie hat sooo eine tolle Kamera! Leider lohnt sich so ein Ding bei mir nicht, aber ich sollte sie öfter mal für Fotos ausnutzen, haha.

I added two "fun pictures", shot with a Bird's Eye lense. I'm very jealous of my friend's (it's her on the picture above) fancy camera. Unfortunately I don't think it would be worthy to get one myself as I probably wouldn't take more photos anyway. But I should definately take advantage of her camera her more often to take pictures.

Übrigens sind Herzen (neben Pandas natürlich!) meine absolute Schwachstelle. Unten seht ihr einmal Ohrringe und (noch viel cooler eigentlich) eine Kette für Brillen. Ich liebe liebe liebe solche Ketten! Und mit Herzen ist diese einfach nur perfekt. Im Februar wird wohl eine neue Bestellung fällig ;)

I love the mixture of popping colours, navy blue and flower prints of this season! Actually, I can see almost all of these items in my wardrobe - if I just had the money :)

By the way, heart shapes are definately my weak point (besides pandas of course!) and I love love love necklaces to attach your sunglasses to - really classy! Hopefully I'll be able to order at least the cheaper items in February and everything else will appear in some kind of sale :)

• diese Woche muss ich noch eine Präsentation über den Text von Bakhtin machen und keine Lust! Außerdem für nächste Woche eine Präsentation über Fat Activism... obwohl ich noch nicht weiß ob das Thema sooo gut ankommen wird.

• Princess Fantaghiro - I don't actually know if it's available anywhere else than Germany or Italy. It's an Italian fairy tale put into a serial in 1990 and I used to watch it when I was a kid :)
• *cough* Naruto Shippuuden. I started watching it over Christmas and am now waiting for the newest episode each Thursday. I know it might be a bit embarrassing but I looove it lol
• as usual: Criminal Minds, Criminal Intent, Law & Order (yes, I do love my serials lol)

Plans

• my trip to Leeds! A friend and I are visiting another firend in Leeds and I can't wait to see her again :) We fly off on Friday!
• I have to do a presentation on Bakhtin this Thursday and am not really motivated. Also, I have to finish another presentation for next week... I never got the point of doig presentations as nobody ever listens to them anyway!

Hallo meine Lieben,
ich hoffe es geht euch gut und ihr seid gut durch die erste Woche dieses Jahres gekommen :) Bei mir war es leider etwas vollgepackt - bis Freitag war ein Freund hier und dann musste ich das ganze Wochenende arbeiten... Aber in der Zwischenzeit habe ich mir mal ein paar Gedanken gemacht, wie ich meinen Blog noch interessanter machen könnte!

1. Ab jetzt werde ich jeden Post auf Englisch schreiben - bis auf die "Fat Positive" Artikel (davon gibt es auf Englisch schon so viele und ich werde dann stattdessen Links zu diesen englischen Blogs posten)
2. Ich möchte mehrere Rubriken einführen: "Obsessed with...", "F.A.T. Thinking" und "Weekly Finds". Die ersten beiden sind monatlich und die letzte wöchentlich. Lasst euch überraschen :)
3. Es wird etwas mehr Outfits geben - irgendwie habe ich das Gefühl, dass die hier etwas zu kurz kommen :)
4. Gewinnspiele - da ich die bei anderen Blogs auch so cool finde, möchte ich auch meine Leser beschenken. Das erste gibt es wenn ich 30 Leser habe!

Mal sehen wie das so ankommt! Obwohl ich erst letzten Sommer angefangen habe zu bloggen habe ich schon 25 Leser - etwas was ich nie gedacht hätte :) Ich habe mich über jeden einzelnen gefreut, der sich für meinen Blog interessiert, wirklich!

To my dear readers,
I hope you're all feeling well and had a fun first week of this year! Mine has been a bit hectic and packed - until Friday a friend stayed at mine followed by a weekend of working... But in the meantime I thought about some changes for my blog to make it more fun and interesting for all of you.

1. From now on all my posts will be in English (always at the bottom of the post and in italic font) - except for the Fat Positive stuff as there is so much available in English already and I'll provide you with some links to similar posts instead!
2. I'd like to introduce three recurring post categories - "Obsessed with...", "F.A.T. Thinking" und "Weekly Finds". The first two are going to be monthly (or more if possible) and the last one, as the title already suggests, a weekly one. But wait and see what they're going to be about :)
3. There are going to be more outfit posts, as I kind of feel as if I'm neglecting this a bit...
4. Giveaways! Yes, I always enjoy Giveaways on other blogs so I'm planning some too - the first one will be on as soon as I reach 30 followers!

Finally, a big THANK YOU goes out to everybody reading my blog! I hope you will enjoy it even more in 2012 :)

OOTD: UDSSR Christmas Tree

Leider konnte ich an Silvester keine richtigen Fotos machen, weil meine Kamera auf den Boden gefallen ist und das Objektiv sich verbogen hat...
Zum Glück konnte ein Freund sie halbwegs richten und jaaa sie geht wieder :)
Das Outfit ist noch von Weihnachten, als ich mit einer Freundin Kaffee trinken war und eigentlich Bewerbungsfotos machen wollte (wofür ich dann doch keine Zeit mehr hatte).

Und der Weihnachtsbaum ist der von uns zuhause. Meine Mama übertreibt es einfach immer mit dem ganzen Lametta... Ich musste so lachen als ich den zum ersten Mal in seiner vollen Pracht gesehen habe :D

Das Hemnd und den Cardigan habe ich im Sale bei H&M gekauft, beides für je 10€, reduziert von jeweils 25€ (und für den Preis hätte ich beides nicht mitgenommen...). Okay, es ist jetzt nichts ausgefallenes, aber ich wollte seriös für die (nicht gemachten) Fotos aussehen und mich nicht unnötig für die Provinz aufbrezeln.

  Die Ohrringe wollte ich unbedingt noch zeigen! Die habe ich am Tiergarten gekauft von einer ganz, ganz netten Frau die selber Ohrringe macht und auf verschiedenen Kunstmärkten verkauft. Als ich diese riesigen Rosen gesehen habe konnte ich nicht wiederstehen :)
